Cast is made by Guanyu Huang. This policy explains what the app does with your information. It is short because Cast collects very little.
Cast has no accounts. You never give us a name, an email address, or a password, and we have no way to identify you.
Your questions, the cards you chose, and your readings are stored on your iPhone. If you are signed in to iCloud, they also sync through your own private iCloud account so they survive a lost or replaced phone.
That iCloud data belongs to you and is governed by Apple's privacy policy. We cannot see it, and we have no way to retrieve it. Deleting the app removes the copy on your device; deleting the app's iCloud data (Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Storage) removes the rest.
To write a reading, Cast sends the text of your question — and, for the follow-up, your follow-up question — to our server, which passes it to the AI service that generates the text. Nothing else is sent: no name, no email, no device identifier, no location, no contacts, no advertising ID.
Your question is used only to produce that reading. We do not store questions on our server and we do not build any profile from them.
The AI service is DeepSeek, which is operated from the People's Republic of China. Your question text is processed on servers in that jurisdiction and is subject to DeepSeek's own terms and privacy policy, and to the laws that apply there. If you would rather your question did not go there, do not use Cast, or do not include personal details in the questions you ask.
Please don't put anything in a question that you would not want processed by a third party — names of other people, addresses, account numbers, medical details. A question works better when it is about you anyway.
If you buy The Classical Reading, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your card details, your billing address, or your Apple ID. We only learn that *a* purchase was made on that device.
Cast is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to look up, correct, export, or delete on request. The data is on your device and in your own iCloud, and you control both directly.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and a material change will be flagged in the app before it takes effect.
